Vice Minister Niu Dun met with Australian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Mrs. Frances J. Adamson and her delegation in Beijing on Feb. 25th, 2014.

 

During the meeting, both sides reviewed agricultural cooperation between China and Australia in recent years, discussed feasible and reliable patterns and areas for enhanced cooperation. Both sides put forward suggestions on furthering bilateral and multilateral agricultural cooperation.

 

The two sides are of the view that agricultural cooperation between China and Australia is showing a good momentum with steady progress and fast growth in agricultural trade. Thus, there is still great potential for stronger cooperation in the future.

 

Both sides agreed to increase the exchange of high-level visits, make good use of existing mechanisms to boost agricultural trade and investment,and promote China-Australia free trade agreement negotiations.
